The Tierpoort Seniors had an Easter fun event on 3 April among beautiful pink and purple cosmos flowers at Marcia le Roux’s Lapatio in Graham Road.

After the refreshing ‘Pink Lady’ welcoming drink, the guests were treated with freshly baked hot-cross buns. To suit the theme, Marietjie Alers arranged the ‘Chicken Song’ as a Sit-Fit dance, which lead to lots of laughter and fun.

Callie Lemmer was privileged to celebrate his 80th birthday among a gathering of 60 friends.
An Easter egg hunt followed where each Senior had to find the partner of his or her marked egg. For example, dr Jekyll had to look for mr Hyde to exchange the eggs. The hunt ended in a joyful chit-chat and mingling.

The main menu consisted of a Spanish chicken and rice bake, roasted veggies and coleslaw ended off with sugar cones and ice-cream decorated with speckled eggs.
