I’ve read your article in The Bronberger for January 2023. It made me wonder if you could maybe give me some advice on my two border collies.

I have two males. Both are sterilized. They sleep in the house at night, but during daytime I keep them outside on the plot. 

They have frequent bouts of fighting. Luckily it doesn’t result in serious injury. I was thinking that, because they are evenly matched, they do not succeed in establishing the hierarchy.

It does seem nowadays that the same one is more frequently the loser and that he is scared of the other one – and tries to hide inside the house, which may also cause jealousy if permitted. 

What do I do?
