Megan Tiley from Tiegerpoort writes:
I have sat outside for 48 years and watched the magical sky, the moon rise and the activities of the busy night life.

Slowly all this have been changing as more and more people move in and surround themselves with lights. Many of them huge spotlights that not only light up their yard but everything surrounding it.

Have a thought, people, to the joy of the night. The creatures that need the night. Dikkops, nightjars, bushbabies, hares and fireflies. When last has anyone seen a firefly?

You think you need security to see. You help the bad guys to see too.

Turn them down, please everyone, and enjoy and live your night time.
