‘Rather safe than sorry’ was the theme of the Tierpoort Seniors gathering on 5 July at Thulani in Tierpoort Road.

Safety starts at home, but Hanelie pointed out that people need to be more cautious while driving and shopping. Valuable points were highlighted and the guests participated in roll play, for example when paying the bill at a restaurant.

They also completed an evaluation form to assess their own precautions. The guests participated with enthusiasm, sharing similar stories that some of them had experienced in the past.

The hosts were Marinza and Zahne Herselman and, as usual, each senior was welcomed with a variety of warm drinks on the chilly winter morning. Thulani’s fireplace was the favourite gathering place before the meal was served.
