Sue from Tierpoort writes:
Construction of roads and new developments in
or near the few wetlands our area has left, is
destroying our water resources and the natural
fauna and flora of this once beautiful area.
Human beings are stewards of the earth. We
have learned that ecosystems are balanced interactions
that take centuries to develop. But
developers and the authorities, who allow this,
do not seem to realise this or to care either way.
I’m not a fanatical “Greeny,” but I think it’s a
dirty shame that a very important issue that can
affect the quality of life for all living in or near
the Bronberg area can be decided by a few
short-sighted officials and money-chasing developers.
Pouring concrete over wetlands is a desecration
that has to be stopped now. |
