Bikers, this is your chance to give back to the community. A dirt-bike
event at Sambok Bar on 4 July will raise funds for the Marthie de Bruin Centre in Shere.
The fundraising event is hosted by a study group of Unisa MBL students
who will be applying the theory learned in marketing management to
support the community. These students have elected to raise funds for
the Marthie de Bruin Centre, a self-funded school for children who have
physical or learning disabilities and who cannot be accommodated in
mainstream schools.
The dirt bike skills track at Sambok bar will be open from 7 am to 5 pm
and the entry fee is R75 per rider per round. Spectators will pay R20
admission fee. There will be a Freestyle Motor Cross Show at 11 am, plenty
of lucky draw prizes and a live band all day long.
Sambok Bar is on the old Bronkhorstspruit Road, at the junction with the
Pienaarspoort dirt road. For more information contact Sunil Sewmohan at
072-320-8866 or Gary Saayman at 072-129-1788.
