The Foam Run SA Pretoria will be held on 15 September from 10 am at Maragon Mooikloof. This
5 km foam run offers billions of bubbles, coloured foam, music to keep the runners on their toes and a finish festival. ‘Moments Before Death’ is the name of an exhibition curated by Will Roux. He was inspired by learning that hummingbirds are always hours away from starving to death. This thought holds a tone of beautiful melancholy: that a creature of such beauty is in constant pursuit of survival – from moment to moment. How fragile life can be and how we humans take time for granted. Artists participating in this theme include Mia van Wyk, Nellien Brewer and Poorvi Bhana. The second season of Pretoria Partyfest Synergy 2018 is hosted by Madison Avenue and presented by Southern Comfort. The theme of the first event on 30 August is Corpse Bride. On 6 September the theme is Black Panther. Each night there is a R1 000 cash prize for the best dressed couple. In this national social events competition, student teams from varsities across SA will try to claim their share of the R40 000 prize pot and regional title trophies with the different themes hosted.
