“I have been collecting data on the public sculptures for almost 30 years,” he said. Eric’s information is complemented by archival photographs dating back to 1888 as well as photographs he has taken over the years, and these have been arranged as a large format coffee table book.

The more than 200 photographs cover the entire metropolitan municipality from central Pretoria to Irene, Hammanskraal, Atteridgeville and Mamelodi and include Onderstepoort, Garankuwa, Menlo Park, the Voortrekker Monument heritage site as well as Cullinan and Bronkhorstspruit.

Everyone is welcome to attend Eric’s presentation of his book at the Pretoria Art Museum. There are no costs involved. For more information, phone Eric at 083-454-1797 or 012-362-6698.
