‘Tierpoort’s Got Talent’ was the theme of the Tierpoort Seniors fun event on 3 June at Thulani.

There was a variety of performances, ranging from singing, poetry recital, joke telling and comic sketches to playing musical instruments. Seniors also exhibited their paintings, embroidery, teddy bears, jewellery and doll’s house miniatures.

The guests were welcomed with hot chocolate featuring marsh mallows and after the talent show there was a beef stew, rice and butternut, followed by sago pudding and custard.

Hettie Skinner played the nose flute

Hostess Marinza Herselman made her venue available; Hein Krugmann of Helga’s and Dros donated the beef; and Dannie Schutte the cream. The catering was donated by members of the Tierpoort community.
