Visitors to the Mulberry festival on 15 November stand a chance to win a seven night trip for two to Mnarani Beach Resort in Kenya.

The festival, hosted by African Blessings, is from 9 am to 3 pm at Rustfontein Farm in the Bronkhorstspruit district. African Blessings is a charity organisation, established in 2003 to assist those in need by means of “faith and love through action”.

Critter community care

The mulberry festival is a delightful country fair experience you don’t want to miss. Enjoy a day under the giant Bluegum trees, browsing through stalls and listening to the live entertainment. There will be arts, handmade crafts and market stalls, available to exhibitors at R200 for a two by three metre stall.

Visitors are in for homemade treats and plenty of food, snacks and drinks, loads of family activities, a potjie competition, and a waterpark and candy land for children.

Rustfontein is home to rescued donkeys

Each year a trash and treasure stall is set up at the Mulberry Festival. Simply bundle up any unwanted goods, crafts, clothes, electronics, books, furniture, CD’s, art and load it into your car so that the stall can take it off your hands. Your unwanted goods will raise funds for a great cause.

Since its inception, African Blessings has seeded, grown and managed several projects:
Jochebed Children’s Village provides a home for orphaned or abandoned children; food gardens feed around 1 500 people; Rustfontein is home to rescued horses and donkeys; and critter community care involves caring for domestic animals.
