This presentation was organised to give surrounding communities and other interested and affected parties an opportunity to visit the dam and to understand the process.

Dam Seven’s main wall is 85 m high and the overall wall slope is 17°. The dam, excluding the beach,
is 550 m wide and 2 km long. It holds 60-80 million m³ of water.

The mine also spoke about emergency preparedness. According to the mine, dam failure is a highly unlikely event, but there is a legal requirement that downstream residents should update their contact details.
